The gnomes felt like they were an invention made up entirely to put something new in, not because it added anything to the world.

Anyway, a good story to enjoy as we go into the last two books in the series. Bitw think there was a set up for the next story with Cole and Kyphas from Cassandra’s vision.

Since book one there’s been sexual tension between Jaz and Vayl, and this book is all about them finally becoming a couple and trusting each other to rely on one another. Not a straight-forward mission in and of itself.

The plot is twisty-turny but never confusing. And I can’t say enough about the wide and varied array of secondary and ancillary characters that have wormed their way into my heart.


They have inside jokes. This book is based in Australia where the team must stop gnomes from destroying NASA satellites and causing billions of dollars of destruction. Raoul is becoming more and more of a favorite and it was great to get to see even more of him and his personality. Once Bitten, Twice Shy: Even though she doesn’t NEED him to because she’s strong in her own right? I won’t say too much to keep from spoiling things, but just wait till you meet Jaz’s new cat.

Her work is definitely written with a darkly humorous twist.

Bite Marks: Book six in the Jaz Parks sequence by Jennifer Rardin – Books – Hachette Australia

Seriously he is like a deranged stalker and if I was Jaz I’d be reporting him for sexual harrassment. An Evening for Vayl and Jaz. The Vampire’s Fake Fiancee. Overall a fun read. That’s mostly but not exclusively done in the beginning of each book, so you jump into the action right away, then find out how you got jenbifer that action a bit later.

Like all the previous books in this series this book was a great read. At this point, though, it just seems to be spinning its wheels. This book seemed to be a turning point in the series.

About the Author Jennifer Rardin began writing at the age of The Jaz Parks books are always fun, but I felt like the action was kind jennifee toned down in this installment. Rardin does a great job of reminding you what happened in previous books, but I still think you need the back-story from previous books to understand what is going on in this one. If they fail, NASA’s entire infrastructure will crumble leaving one heck of mess in its wake.


So much of the first half of the book dealt with Cassandra’s demon problems that I forgot what their original mission was.

The series is layered, plots and characters intertwined, and while each book has it’s own arc, none can be fully appreciated as a stand-alone. I couldn’t put the series down, and read all 6 books in about four days. As book 6 in a series, it is also not the best place to start, if one is interested rxrdin checking out Jennifer Rardin’s writing – Once Bitten, Twice Shy is the first book in the series.

As you can probably guess I’m on the fence with jenniefr to do about the next book.

Last I read there are 8 books planned for this jennifeg. Joining Jaz and Vayl are their old buddies Cole, Bergman, Cassandra and Jack the malamute, each of whom has his or her own agenda.
